Hi and thank you for visiting this site. I've been involved with the making of furniture for a number of years now, and have always been able to acheive a great deal of joy out of woodworking. There is something about being left alone in a workshop with just you and a woodworking project. There's nothing more satisfying than making something from scratch, and having the finished item serving a purpose. Knowing full well that your the reason why it's there. Often the average do-it-yourself enthusiast, be it man or woman will go through the hardship of making something, but because of inexperience on finishing, the project often never reaches its full potential. My site will try and take the mystery out of finishing wood, by use of paint, stains, oils and lacquers. This will be an ongoing blog with regular updates to try and help you achieve the finish of professionals. My love of wood also led me to the outdoors, whereby more recently I became more involved with patio furniture, and have recently embarked on another site solely dedicated to this topic.
